Weekend Watercolor Workshop -"White Ibis"- Ted Head

Saturday, March 3rd 10:00 am-5:00 pm and Sunday, March 4th 1:00-4:00 pm
Cost: $110 (not including materials)

We will paint a beautiful white ibis walking in the ocean, creating an out-of-focus background using wet-in-wet techniques, and learn to make colorful whites.  A relaxed, fun atmosphere for all levels.

Recommended Paints - don't buy student grade:
Hookers Green
Ultramarine Blue
Dioxazine Purple or Windsor Violet
Burnt Sienna
Burnt Umber
Cadmium Red
Cadmium Yellow
Quinacridone Rose or Opera

Brushes and Supplies:
Paint mixing tray
#2 Round brush
#6 Round brush
#8 Round brush 3/4" to 1” flat wash brush
Cheap craft brushes in various sizes for masking
Ruling pen for masking
Bottle of Liquid Frisket
1/2 sheet 140# cold press watercolor paper stretched on gatorboard (or 300# unstretched). Stretch paper properly at least the day before class. Have some type of support for your paper to be able to paint at an angle, or a table-top easel.
One sheet gray graphite paper for tracing
Cups for water
Paper towels
Pencil
White art eraser
Artist tape
