IMPRESSIONISM w/ Gordon Meggison (3 hour sessions, 6 weeks)

In this class I will cover color mixing and the properties of light effects and how to achieve luminous colors in natural landscape themes.

Gordon Meggison lives in Jacksonville and was educated at Jacksonville University. In 1992, his French Light/Florida Light art show was hosted by the Sisters Cities Association of Jacksonville and Nantes, France, featuring "pleine aire" watercolors. He now paints full time and teaches watercolor, oils, and acrylics.

Small prestretched canvases (10” X12”or 16”X20” , your choice) 
Set of Bright White #4, 6, 8 Filberts and #4, 6 and 8 Bright white nylonswith short square tips
(2” soft painters brush nylon high quality
SMALL Whale tale (triangle shape) metal palette knife
A Stays-Wet large closeable plastic palette,be sure to get shammy and disposeable paper palettes for the inside
Brush cleaning - plastic containers for thinning color and cleaning brushes
Paper towels and Flat 3” X 5” kitchen sponge
pencil, kneaded eraser
